According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 172 dated March 19, 1994
“On the approval of the list of goods of proper quality that are NOT subject to exchange or return,” certain categories of products cannot be returned or exchanged after purchase.

Items That Cannot Be Returned or Exchanged

The following items fall under the category of products that come into direct contact with the body:

• underwear and intimate apparel;

• panties and briefs;

• bras, bralettes, and lingerie tops;

• swimwear (one-piece and two-piece);

• pajamas, nightgowns, loungewear;

• slips, robes, petticoats, peignoirs;

• long johns and similar items.

These goods are classified as personal hygiene products, therefore they cannot be returned or exchanged, even if they are of proper quality and have no defects.

Why This Matters

The prohibition on returning or exchanging underwear is established to ensure:

• hygienic safety for customers;

• prevention of reselling items that have had direct body contact;

• protection of consumers’ health and safety.
